The FUEL Solar Lift
A fully manual, portable hoist that lets a two-person crew safely raise and lower solar panels and equipment up a standard extension ladder — to a two-story roof in under 30 seconds a panel, with no powered lift to rent or haul.

The Solar Lift system
We designed the FUEL Solar Lift with simplicity in mind to make it easy to set up and use anywhere. The FUEL Solar Lift is a fully manual lift that is conveniently operated on a standard aluminum extension ladder.
It takes less than 30 seconds to safely and easily lift solar panels and equipment to a two-story roof. At the end of the day simply tuck your lift into a regular work van, or even a car, where it is ready to set up at the next site in minutes.
The FUEL Solar Lift is particularly suited for rapid residential and rural installations, and wherever tight locations or tricky terrain are difficult to access by large equipment. See how it compares with renting a boom lift or crane.
Need to send up more than panels? The CarryALL attachment rides the same trolley up the same ladder with tools, inverters, racking, and ballast.

Safe, hands-free lifting
The lift's trolley holds the panel and an auto-locking double pulley captures the load at every pause, so the crew guides rather than lifts and keeps hands free to climb.
A unique double-wheel design runs smoothly and securely along the ladder, and the auto-lock releases from the ground or the roof — panels to a two-story roof in under 30 seconds each.

Runs on the ladder you own
The FUEL Solar Lift mounts to a standard Grade-1 aluminum extension ladder you already own and sets up in about five minutes — no powered lift to rent or haul.
It weighs just 27 lb (12.2 kg) and packs into a work van or even a car, so it's ready at the next site in minutes. A buy-once tool, not a per-job rental.
Specifications

Materials
All frame components (Trolley, Hanger, CarryALL) are constructed entirely of welded aluminum, meaning you are getting a lightweight and strong lift that will last.
Weight and Dimensions
The panel lift system weighs only 27 lb (12.2 kg), with the CarryALL attachment weighing an additional 9 lb (4.1 kg).
Trolley dimensions: 52.4 x 55.1 x 8.5 inches (133 x 140 x 21.6 cm)
CarryALL dimensions: 31 x 12.6 x 22.3 inches (78.7 x 32 x 56.6 cm)
Pulley System
Double pulley system that includes a professional-grade one-way locking progress capture pulley (auto-lock) positioned at the top of the ladder for safety and ease of use.
Ropes
We use professional-grade ropes designed for rope access and arborist industries.
Load Rating
The FUEL Solar Lift system is rated for loads up to 100 lb (45 kg) with a maximum recommended overhead lifting limit of 65 lb (30 kg).
Solar Panel Compatibility
The trolley is designed to carry single panels ranging from 39-45 inches (99-114 cm) wide.
Ladder Compatibility
The FUEL Solar Lift is tested and approved to work with the following Grade 1 aluminum extension ladders:
- Featherlite FL2120 series
- Louisville AE3200 series
- Werner D1300-2 series
Setup Time
5 minutes... really! The unit ships disassembled, but once you've completed the initial setup, the only on-site setup required is connecting the hoist rope to the trolley pulley and taking the hanger with the auto-locking pulley to the top of the extension ladder.
Lift Operation
The lift is manually controlled by two people: a ground operator who loads and raises/lowers the trolley, and a roof operator who unloads at the top. The lift is just as easily used to lower loads from the roof.
FUEL Solar Lift FAQ
What is the FUEL Solar Lift?
The FUEL Solar Lift is a fully manual, portable lift for raising solar panels and equipment safely to a two-story roof. It mounts to a standard Grade-1 aluminum extension ladder, and an auto-locking double pulley system gives installers full control while lifting and lowering.
What ladders does the FUEL Solar Lift work with?
The lift is verified with commercially available Grade-1 aluminum extension ladders:
- Featherlite FL2120 series
- Louisville AE3200 series
- Werner D1300-2 series
See the full ladder-compatibility guide for why fiberglass and Grade-1A aluminum ladders don't work.
How fast can a crew lift panels with it?
It takes less than 30 seconds to lift a panel to a two-story roof. The lift is intentionally designed to hoist one panel at a time, and hoisting is quick enough that a crew can lift and rack 40 panels in a few hours.
Can it carry tools and equipment too?
Yes — with the CarryALL attachment, which hooks onto the same trolley in seconds and sends inverters, tools, racking, and ballast up the same ladder as the panels.
Is the FUEL Solar Lift a one-time purchase?
Yes. The FUEL Solar Lift is a buy-once tool at $1,959 CAD, with no rentals or per-job fees. See the pricing page for what's included, shipping, returns, and how to order.
